There's a clue is in the word transformational. Coaching really can change your life, your feelings, your awareness. It can open doors or reveal paths that make dreams come true. A big claim I know, and I would never promise any specific results, but I've experienced this myself. (At this point let me tell you I'm a cynic; like evidence based, don't trust the hype). There's a little story at the bottom of this page but I'll first let's talk about what coaching can do for you (rather than what it's done for me) first.
In simple terms 1-1 coaching is a confidential conversation between you and I. It's a safe space for you to explore, dig deep, discover. I will listen, ask questions, and together we'll explore whatever our conversation unearths. We might use techniques like visualisations, structures and tools to help pick apart your stories and situations. We can define goals and find the paths that lead to achieving them.
As your coach I don’t advise, or tell you what to do, or judge. I will support, gently challenge and 100% believe in your own capability. YOU do the work, I guide and facilitate. I believe you have the strengths and abilities you need to find clarity, move forward, achieve your dreams.
The practical stuff: I coach via Google Meet, whatever other platform suits you, or face to face if you are local (Norfolk). Our first session is free, and without obligation. Click right here to book one or just to ask any questions you may have.
Now if you fancy a little story, keep reading :-)
Autumn 2020. Lockdown had been hard and sad, I was heading into divorce and facing losing the beautiful family home I'd always dreamed of and much more besides. But I was training as a coach, and it was bringing me much joy, achievement and more.
We trained over Zoom, full weekends, it was intense and very practical. Not just theory - we chucked ourselves in at the deep end and practiced all we were learning.
This weekend we were learning something called future pacing. It's a visualisation technique and can be super powerful. You visualise something you would really love to achieve, really imagine and describe the details of it. And you work backwards - what have you done to achieve that dream?
I visualised taking my kids to Valencia. On my own, paid for by me, a happy and joyful trip. Given that I was about to lose house/income/the whole structure of our lives it seemed a very long way off. And very difficult to achieve.
In the autumn of 2021 we made that trip. It was truly wonderful. Uncannily like what I'd visualised. And full of sunshine.
If you'd like to future pace just get in touch.
