Simply put, coaching is a series of conversations. Conversations with a difference. As coaches we learn techniques, insights, structures and tools that enable us to take our conversations deeper, into the realms of change.
Through coaching I can help you define things you’d like to change, goals you’d like to hit, priorities and pathways. Instinct comes into play; our coaching may help you come to realisations, discoveries. I will work with you to create change, to move from where you are to where you would like to be.
As your coach I don’t advise, or tell you what to do, or judge. I help YOU to identify your own strengths, aims, way forward, and support you in creating change, achievements. You do the work, choose the direction and points of focus: I facilitate and support your own learning, discovery, change.
Coaching is confidential, based upon trust, and led by the client. As your coach I come to you honest, open and collaborative; to achieve the best results we need our clients to do the same.
What would you like to achieve? What are your dreams in life? Do you feel stuck with something? Or lacking in confidence? Or direction? Are you going through a period of change or turmoil and would like support to achieve the best outcome?
Coaching can help you with almost any area of your life:
Relationships; whether at work, partners, friends, family. How you feel about; yourself, your work, your future, your confidence or abilities.
Goals and dreams; whether abstract, as yet undefined, or concrete achievements you know you want. And within all sectors of your life; health, wealth, work, family… whatever you’d like to change.
For many people coaching is a rare opportunity to take time to consider themselves. Time to think, to concentrate, on you. In our crazy busy live just this act of taking time, creating focus, can be life changing.
Hi! I'm Grace. I have come to coaching through what feels like many other sections of my life. Theatre, a career in tv and film, motherhood, single motherhood, a life in London. Becoming a partner, mum to a gang of 3, and now an adopted Norfolkian.
The common threads? Amongst them are creativity, dissecting stories and situations, looking for meanings, reasons or for that which is not immediately obvious, supporting and facilitating.
I come from the heart, via practicality and pragmatism. With the strongest belief in the power of people, in all of us as equals. We can all achieve dreams, reach our fullest potential. Sometimes we could use a little help finding the path, and coaching can be that help, enable us to find that direction.
I'm nearing the completion of the course of study that will lead me to being a qualified transformational coach. I'm studying with an organisation called Animas: they're one of the primary specialists in coaching training in the UK. They're fully accredited as is the course (by the ICF, the AC and the EMCC) and very well respected. The course is a diploma, currently being taught via Zoom, over the course of about 6 months. In order to pass it I must fulfil some pretty comprehensive criteria, including having coached at least 40 sessions, received coaching myself, undertaken supervision sessions and more.
As I'm still a 'coach in training' and not yet qualified, I'm currently offering coaching on either a pro-bono (no charge) basis or for a very minimal fee.
I'm very happy to chat further about the training, if you have any questions or would just like to know more do just ask.
Coaching usually begins with a 'discovery' call; around 20-30 minutes to get to know each other, talk though possible topics, see if we get on. It's free, entirely without obligation, and available via Zoom, Skype, FaceTime, a straightforward phone call or however you prefer!
